About Shadrach Webb — The Dogumenter
Hi, I’m Shadrach — the photographer and storyteller behind The Dogumenter. Around here, dogs are the stars, and I’m just honored to be the one capturing their stories.
My journey started back in 2018 when I bought my first camera and photographed my friend’s dog, Ellie. That shoot — seeing her quirky personality shine through the lens — made me realize this is what I was meant to do. From that day forward, I’ve been chasing tails (literally) with my camera ever since.
Not long after, The Dogumenter was born — a name that came from my love of puns and an early YouTube series I hosted called Dogumentaries. The name reflects what my work is really about: documenting dogs honestly, beautifully, and with heart.
My style blends lifestyle and editorial storytelling with a touch of fine art, always aiming to capture dogs exactly as they are — joyful, soulful, quirky, and full of personality. I work with dog owners who want more than just snapshots — they want timeless, meaningful memories of their dog’s spirit, personality, and the bond they share. I also work with brands that care about authentic, engaging content, and shelters working to help dogs find forever homes.
Along the way, I’ve learned that my perfectionism and tendency to overthink can slow me down — but my obsession with detail, my natural ability to connect with dogs, and my playful energy help me create images that feel authentic and alive. Whether I’m whistling, making funny noises, or lying in the dirt to get the shot, I’ll do what it takes to make your dog shine.
During the pandemic, when in-person shoots weren’t possible, I even started creating my own dog merch — designing collars and leashes featuring my photography so dogs could literally wear my art.
Beyond photography, you’ll probably find me scouring yard sales for vintage cameras or quirky collectibles, playing video games late into the night (I’m a lifelong gamer), or planning my next trip — because I believe dogs deserve to be documented everywhere, from local trails to breathtaking landscapes.
I’m still growing, still chasing bigger goals, and still endlessly inspired by the dogs I meet. Whether it’s helping a shy shelter pup feel seen, creating portraits that hang in living rooms, or traveling to capture dogs in their element, my mission stays the same:
to honor dogs, tell their stories, and celebrate their place in our lives.
If you’re ready to create something meaningful for you and your dog — let’s talk.
